ABC Radio'sSabrina Hahn is a noted horticulturist and landscape designer.
Sustainability and working with the environment are at the core of her philosophy.
A confessed plantaholic, Sabrina's garden features an enormous diversity of mainly native and Mediterranean plants, and an area devoted to endemic species including some that are rare and endangered. An organic vegetable parterre is hedged with native limes and fruit trees.
At 11am & 2pm each day Sabrina will speak about the development of her garden and throughout the weekend there will be talks about dry climate plants as well as water recycling and harvesting.

Celebrate sustainable living at The Painted Fish Eco Village with talks and displays by the Organic Growers Association as well as demonstrations and entertainment by local artists, community groups and musicians.
Sustainability is the key to The Painted Fish, where many facets of sustainable living such as photovoltaics, rainwater harvesting, and passive heating and cooling systems are showcased.
An 1887 timber and iron worker's cottage, converted railway carriage and studio look out over courtyard gardens planted with vegetables, herbs and fruit trees. Ponds contain yabbies, fish and frogs.

Organic Festival Day Bedfordale

An enjoyable and educational day for the entire family at A Garden Path, Caralyn Lagrange's certified organic garden.
Caralyn was the winner of the 2007 WA Individual Community Environment Award.
Her garden features herbs, vegetables, bush tucker plants, fruit and nut trees as well as fire-retardant plantings in a series of well-designed areas. The swimming pool has been converted to a fish farm, and the garden boasts two greywater systems.
During the day children will be able to meet and feed the animals and there'll be talks on converting your swimming pool to a fish farm, integrating poultry with edible gardening, raised-bed gardening and planting to reduce fire risk.

At Home with the Garden Guru: Neville Passmore Tapping

Host of Garden Gurus and author Neville Passmore has recently built the house and garden of his dreams.
Designed for sustainability with an integrated greywater recycling and rainwater harvesting system, the modern house is surrounded by a complementary and exciting garden.
Neville's daughter Lisa Passmore designed a garden to reflect the angularity of the house: strappy-leafed drought-tolerant plantings at the front give way to an abundantly productive back garden where espaliered fruit trees flank vegetable beds and fish ponds.
Commencing at 11am there will be talks by Neville on 'The dream of sustainability', Lisa on 'Garden Design' and Dr. Ross Mars on 'Greywater and rainwater harvesting'.
