Still Gardening Exhibition at Rosedown - 134 Hamilton Rd (Lyell Hwy), New Norfolk. Still Gardening' promotes the health benefits of gardening and helps individuals - especially older people and those with disabilities - to manage and enjoy their gardens. Demonstrations and displays of tools for easier gardening, fact sheets on the 'Still Gardening' program, and information about the hands-on help that volunteer Garden Mates offer. The venue, Rosedown, features an exquisite rose garden, romantically designed and relaxed in style, surrounding a restored 1840s cottage. Wonderful picnic spots for visitors to enjoy. $7 admission.

Driessen Garden - 20 Crowthers Rd, Castle Forbes Bay. An impressive cypress hedge creates a surprising entrance to an immaculate and lush garden. Expansive lawns, dry-stone walls, mature deciduous trees and the autumn flush of roses are complimented by a lovely water course and mountain vistas.
17 & 18 April
Canice - 33015 Tasman Hwy, Branxholm. Rustic farm sculptures give distinctive style to this inspirational garden.
Highview - 58 West Maurice Rd, Ringaroom. Magnificent autumn garden of themed rooms, beautifully designed with sensitivity and style by plants-woman Rae Wardlaw. Visitors can picnic in the gardens and enjoy the unique vistas of the area. |
